Key Features

Rugged Construction

One of the features that make this model stand out is its rugged construction. The solid construction enables it to withstands repeated use in harsh environments. We also love its superior performance when it comes to detection of the coin-sized targets that are buried up to eight inches deep. It also detects larger objects that are 2 feet deep. As mentioned, this model detects all types of metals. So, whether you are hunting for targets made of gold, silver or other high-value metals, this unit will serve you well.

Intuitive Controls

While it lacks a digital display, this unit comes with a simple to use knob interface that lets the user fidget with the depth detection, sensitivity controls, and power. This unit also comes equipped with various discrimination modes that let you focus on specific metal detection. The large sensitivity meter also allows for all metal detection, widening your scope.

Submersible Search Coil and Three Search Modes

When compared to other models at a similar price range, this feature makes this unit a preferred option. It is equipped with an eight-inch search coil that is submersible in shallow water. The coil comes with an adjustable stem that allows for better positioning based on the user height. For improved comfort, this unit also comes with a padded armrest. Plus, this unit comes with three search/ discrimination modes. This included the select mode, all metal and tone discrimination. The select/specific target will let you focus your search on one particular metal type, for instance, silver coins. The all-metal mode enables you to widen your scope. Additionally, we have the tone discrimination that rejects iron as well as other trash items. The tone discrimination has different audio pitches that let you figure out the type of metal before picking your shovel.

Preset Ground Balance

Additionally, this unit comes with a preset ground balance feature that enables the detector to ignore false signals. The Ground Trac feature automatically balances the machine to the soil conditions. For instance, when it comes to relic hunting in a trashy environment or in mineralized soil, this feature will eliminate the false positives.

Headphone Input

Another notable feature that comes with the unit is the headphone input. This unit enables you to use your headphone rather than using the speaker that is inbuilt to the metal detector’s control box. This feature is desirable as it allows for easy identification for the positive tones. Also, while you don’t need to use the headphones all the time, this feature will enable you to search for treasures without disturbing others, especially in public areas.
